Set up your workspace
The whole admin surface in one tour: data in, people in, brand on, and a ceiling on what leaves the workspace.
Connect a people source
Sprooster draws people, titles, and reporting lines from a source you already run. Onboarding asks for one up front, and Settings → Data sources is the same panel afterwards:
- Microsoft 365 (Entra ID) or Google Workspace — paste three values from your IT setup, hit Test connection, save. Step-by-step guides (including what to hand your security team): Entra · Google.
- CSV upload — no IT ticket: export a spreadsheet and drag it in. Re-uploading a fresh export is the sync. Format guide.
- Something else? The request an integration form is right in the panel — popular asks ship fast, and HRIS exports can arrive over SFTP with an integration specialist.
After connecting, Sync now on the People page pulls the latest on demand, and the status dot on Home shows everyone when the directory last synced.
Let people in
Settings → People access is the door: mint single-use invite links — member for coworkers, admin when you're handing the directory connection to IT — and approve or deny join requests from people who found the workspace themselves.
Make it yours
Settings → Branding sets the logo, colors, chart accents, heading font, and corner style for everyone. Upload a logo and Match colors to logo derives a palette from it; the preview card shows the effect before you commit, and changes save as you make them.
Set the publishing ceiling
Settings → Publishing policy caps what OrgStudio may ever publish: a master switch that blocks new live views workspace-wide, and a never publish field list that's stripped from every published view regardless of what an author selected.
Keep the data honest
When directory records are missing core fields — titles, departments, start dates — Home shows you a one-line count with a jump to People. Fix the source (or the CSV) and re-sync; Sprooster shows what the source provides.
Tip: Use the Viewing as → Employee toggle at the bottom of the sidebar to check what the rest of the company sees before you announce the workspace.
